Return to Mull by Harry Nixon

Harry visited the Isle of Mull when he was a young boy and returned to join Wild Island Film School in the hope of seeing and filming an otter. Harry chose to wild camp for a couple of night’s in order to fully immerse himself in the island. We had challenging weather during his stay and the otters were especially elusive.

It was wonderful sleeping out in the wilds and Harry did a great job of telling his story.

“I had an incredible time on the Isle of Mull with the Wild Island Film School. As a complete beginner, S-J had a lot on her plate to teach me in 5 days. We focused on the core storytelling element of filmmaking whilst trying to film otters. S-J was very encouraging and really made me think about every element of the film with a gentle push here and there. Mull itself is simply stunning and it completely won me over with its rugged landscapes and amazing wildlife.  I came away after the 5 days with a lot to think about and an appetite for more. Thank you, S-J!” Harry Nixon
